Boston's legendary song 'Remember Ol' Scollay Square' finds a home in the Smithsonian Museum of American History Archives Center

BOSTOn, MA. (Rik Tinory Productions) - "REMEMBER OL' SCOLLAY SQUARE" composed and performed by Rik Tinory of Cohasset, Massachusetts, was first released in the mid 1970s sheet music was later printed and distributed by The Rogers @ Hammerstein Company of New York City.

"Scollay Square" the most famous square in the World was especially a favorite of soldiers and sailors from around the world during World War II and was also the beginning of Vaudville and Burlesque in the United STATES.

Legendary artists who appeared in the famous Square: Phil Silvers, Gypsey Rose Lee, Bert Lahr, Milton Berle, Bob Hope, George Burns,Bob Hope, Abbott & Costello and even Ed McMahon of the Tonight Show are just a few of the performers who worked in the infamous "Old Howard Burlesque" in "Scollay Square"

John Wilkes Booth who assasinated Abraham Lincoln was apearing at the Old Howard as an actor and left the Theater to shoot Abraham Lincoln

Some years ago a Bronze Plaque was erected at One Center Plaza in Boston spearheaded by then Mayor Kevin White and Boston City Councilor Albert l."Dapper" O'Neil, 10,000 people showed up to honor Tinory and to change the name from Government Center back to Historic, "Scollay Square"
