Brentwood, TN (Sparrow Records) - EMI CMG Publishing and its songwriters received top honors April 3 at the 28th annual Christian Music Awards presented by performing rights organization ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) in Nashville, Tennessee.

EMI CMG Publishing, led by veteran artist and industry leader Eddie DeGarmo, was named Publisher of the Year, representing 14 of the top 25 most performed Christian songs in 2005. Solo artist Jeremy Camp won awards for Song of the Year ("Take You Back") and Songwriter of the Year. Switchfoot lead singer, Jon Foreman, an EMI CMG Publishing songwriter, was given the ASCAP Impact Award to celebrate the success and influence of his songs in mainstream rock music. The late Keith Green was also honored with the Crescendo Award for his continuing legacy and impact on other Christian artists.
