Sydney, AU. (SONY BMG MUSIC Entertainment) - Kickin' news for fans of the rockin' stuff: Pearl Jam will release their highly anticipated, self-titled, eighth studio album on May 2. Want more? OK then. The guys will also be making the first single 'World Wide Suicide' available as a free, unrestricted download for two days. Oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah!

There's no such thing as a free lunch, you say? Well, maybe things are different when it comes to sandwiches, but when you're talking about Seattle's finest and their brand new single, then there is such a thing as a freebie! If you hit up www.pearljam.com from 10.00pm on March 8, you'll be able to grab yourself 'World Wide Suicide' for nada. It's only happening for two days though, so perhaps you should mark your calendar now!

Pearl Jam's new album marks the band's first studio release in nearly four years and is the first studio album to be released through their new label, J Records.
The album was produced and mixed by Adam Kasper and Pearl Jam at Studio X in Seattle, Washington. Kasper also co-produced Pearl Jam?s 2002 release, 'Riot Act'.
Stay tuned for all the deets on the tracklisting and Pearl Jam's 2006 World Tour... we hear it just might include Australia.
