NEW YORK (Long Live Crime Records/ www.longlivecrimerecords.com) - Long Live Crime Records recording artists and downtown New York faves Jonny Lives! are releasing a special CD single, including versions of 'Get Steady' and 'Cliche,' which preview the band's album debut, slated for an early 2006 release.

The CD, which is available at all your favorite music stores in the U.S., will also include previously unreleased four-track recordings of "Do It Again" and "Breaking Down' that will not be on the album.

Hailing from the same scene that has produced The Strokes, Interpol and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Jonny Lives!,lead singer Jonny Dubowsky, bassist Mikki James and drummer Jon Webber carve out a unique sound that is steeped in the verities of garage-punk and its antecedents. Seminal U.K. rock journal NME said the band is 'not just another bunch of well groomed Manhattanites… indeed (Jonny) does live... but we had no idea he was in a shit-cool NY rock and roll band… On 'Get Steady,' Jonny Dubowsky manages to sound exactly like 'Raw Power' era Iggy.' 'Cliche' a second song from the single includes guitar solos from members of The Strokes, Fountains of Wayne and the Mooney Suzuki.

The group has recently been touring the Northeast and performed a residency in June and July at the Lit club on New York's Lower East Side. 'Get Steady' was featured in the best-selling MVP Baseball video game, where it was heard by almost 3.5 million Playstation fans. Having played with such great bands like the Killers, the Kaiser Chiefs, Sonic Youth and recently Meatloaf the band is on a mission to get their music to the masses.

Already starting to attract major labels the band has spent the last few months putting the finishing touches on their first full-length record that is due to hit the stores in the early part of 2006.
