A-FS names as main artistic influences the likes of legends such as DMX, Ja Rule, Big Pun, Fiend, Petey Pablo, and Ransom. The album is at least partially a nod to A-FS' own time on skid row, which lasted for a literally homeless seven months on the East Coast.
