Madchild Nominated For Much Music Video Award Alongside Drake, Classified & K-Os
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Madchild official website) As Madchild prepares for the release of his sophomore solo release "Lawn Mower Man" later this summer, his debut solo album "Dope Sick" continues to draw praise. Madchild has been nominated for a 2013 Much Music Video Award for his video for "Jitters" featuring Matt Brevner and Dutch Robinson. The video was nominated for 'Hip-Hop Video of the Year' along alongside Drake, Classified, K-OS, and SonReal. The awards will take place Sunday June 16th at 9:00pm EST in Toronto, Ontario and be hosted by Psy.

"It's an honor to be nominated for a Much Music Video Award and feels good to know that my solo album has been so well received by not only fans, but the media as well," said Madchild. "It feels great to receive all the critical acclaim for 'Dope Sick', but it also has made me hungrier than ever. I've tried to use that, to push myself to the next level on this new album."

Since the release of his debut solo album "Dope Sick", Madchild has refused to rest. After many years of success with Swollen Members, Madchild branched out creatively to become a solo artist and was rewarded with the highest chart position of his career as his debut album, "Dope Sick", debuted at #3 on the Canadian Billboard Top 200 and #7 on the US Heatseekers chart. Madchild wasted no time taking to the road on a sold-out Canadian tour alongside Tech N9ne, which he immediately followed-up with a 40-date headlining tour across the country performing to packed venues. Madchild capped off an amazing year with a Juno Award nomination for "Dope Sick" in the category of "Rap Recording of the Year", as well as nominations for a Sirius XM Canada award and a Canadian Independent Music award.

Madchild's new album "Lawn Mower Man" is scheduled for release later this summer via Suburban Noize/Battle Axe Records. Madchild will support the album all summer as he hits the road with the traveling punk-rock circus known as the Vans Warped Tour. Eager to give fans a taste of new music, Madchild has released his video for the track "Tiger Style" online at https://youtu.be/59ZE9K63Uhc.
