NEW YORK (On-Blast.com) After being deeply saddened by the Tsunami tragedy teen rapper Jersey Son, 13 wrote the song "What is This World Coming To?" He wanted to not only express his feelings about the tragedy but also wanted to do something for the victims. Jersey Son was eager to find a way to raise money for the victims. He asked fellow label mate, 12-year old Ashlee Vaca to sing the hook on the song and the rest is history.

The song drew immediate attention from producers and industry execs already working with the rapper and the final product came out slamming. The production team worked to fulfill the teens' wishes. "What is This World Coming To?" was sent hot off the presses to a promotion team in Germany who immediately asked to promote the song in Europe. Jersey Son then asked his management team if the song could be distributed and a portion of the proceeds sent to relief funds for the Tsunami victims.

"It was a shocking and noble move but then again, Jersey [Son] has a big heart and it's not far from his character to ask for this to be done," his management company said. They are truly impressed with his motion and fully support it. "It's obvious he had a plan and he's doing this for the love of hip-hop and grief stemming from the situation." The words to the song are sincere and the two seemed to put their hearts into it.

The song will be available for download on On-Blast.com the first week of February 2005 for $1.99 and hopefully in stores shortly after. Jersey Son and Ashlee will be performing the song in the tri-state area over the next few weeks and hopefully spread nationally, but in the meantime, the duo has made a pact to try and do what they can for the victims. The tragedy was not expected and unavoidable and all ages were affected by the reports that followed and wanted to do something.

Jersey Son is working with producer MARVELOUS and up and coming producers 24 Diamondz in Miami. He has performed at the Apollo and was named Most Talented Teen in New Jersey by Hal Jackson's Uniting Talented Youth, Inc. Ashlee Vaca has been a winner on Star Search, Showtime at the Apollo and numerous other talent contests nationwide. Both are currently working on respective solo projects. The pair is likely to create a major stir in the industry with their exceptional talent and heart. This story is heart warming, knowing that there are still some unselfish teens on this earth.
