NEW
YORK (www.chrisryanrocks.com) - Chris Ryan (and co-hort in rock 'n
groove mayhem, Nick 'the Noise' Ferrante) are seeing the fruits of
their labor take root. February 2005 marks the occasion when New York
City's top-rated music editor (Chuck Eddy of the Village Voice) chose
"East Coast Liner", the first single off the
Blackout Money EP to make
his Best Singles of 2004 List in the 31st Annual Village Voice Pazz
& Jop Poll.
One year ago this February, the dynamic
NYC/LES duo were in Los Angeles tracking the song for the now hotter
than hot EP "Blackout Money". After a string of live performances
throughout New York's Lower East Side artist enclave, CD giveaways and
mass-distributing the disc to hungry fans clamoring for true, gutsy
rock, the innovative disc and its massively constructed rock 'n groove
singles have hit the radar in more ways than one.
Local rock
radio station, Q-104.3FM, will put "Deny It", the second track off of
the
Blackout Money EP in limited rotation starting Sunday February
20,'05 as part of DJ Jonathan Clark's "Out Of The Box" radio show.
New
York City's #1 rock station DJ Clark routinely sets aside time between
9pm and 10pm on Sunday nights to draw attention to the best in new
music and local undiscovered artists. After some media-generated
pressure, Clark has come to realize the hidden gem that is Chris Ryan
and Nick Ferrante. So, listen in where ever you may be and let him know
to keep on playing the music! Alternatively, the single "Start This
Show" from
Blackout Money has also been added to the following
station's playlists:
KORB Davenport, IA
KNRQ Eugene, OR
WBOP Harrisonburg, VA
KEND Roswell, NM
KJKJ Grand Fork, ND
WOTT Watertown, NY
KDDX Spearfish, SD
