NEW YORK, NY (Sony Music Nashville) - Montgomery Gentry's current album, You Do Your Thing, has reached platinum status, while their new single, "She Don't Tell Me To," receives the largest add-date station count ever, with a total of 75 Billboard and R&R reporting stations, for the high-powered country duo. Both accolades follow on the heels of their most recent single, "Something To Be Proud Of," which hit #1 on both the Billboard and R&R country music charts for two consecutive weeks.

"Montgomery Gentry is my favorite artist development story at Sony Music Nashville," said label president John Grady. "They have a very solid, successful career, but they are not afraid to grow. I feel they have accepted my challenge to grow musically and are now, without a doubt, making the finest music of their career. The rest of their career is running at an all-time high... imagine that!"

Montgomery Gentry are also readying to release Something To Be Proud Of: The Best of 1999 - 2005, on November 1; a collection of their quintessential hits, plus one new track ("She Don't Tell Me To").

The duo will perform "Get Rhythm" on "I Walk The Line: A Night For Johnny Cash," along with Kid Rock, U2, Sheryl Crow, Foo Fighters, among others, which airs on CBS, November 16.
Montgomery Gentry are also nominated for Best Country Duo at this years' CMA's.
