NEW YORK (By Serena Gallagher/ Universal Republic Records) - Saving Jane, whose Universal debut album Girl Next Door featuring the hit title track hits stores nationwide next Tuesday, April 11, will appear at a local Columbus Wal-Mart on the day of the album's release to celebrate the debut with hometown fans. The Columbus natives (some of the members attended Ohio State University) will perform 3 songs from their upcoming CD, including the chart-topping single "Girl Next Door," currently No 30 on Billboard's Pop 100 chart, and No 25 on Billboard's Pop 100 Airplay chart. The band will also be available to autograph purchased copies of the new album, with radio personalities from local Columbus radio station WNCI on-hand to show their support. WNCI was the first station to play "Girl Next Door," and is now up to 1,800 spins of the sizzling anthem. The band recently showed their gratitude for the hometown support with a rousing St. Patrick's Day performance for WNCI's Morning Zoo show hosted by Dave & Jimmy at a local Columbus watering hole. The station is also hosting a special on-air "Win It Before You Can Buy It" promotion surrounding the new disc, offering copies of the new CD every hour to WNCI listeners beginning Monday April 10th, in anticipation of the band's Release-Day Columbus appearance.
