Washington, DC. (Top40 Charts/ Victory Records) - Fresh off the Sounds Of The Underground Tour, Washington DC's Darkest Hour wanted to extend a hearty "thank you" to all the fans that came out to see them this summer, and big high fives to all the bands & crew on the tour who busted their asses day in and day out, night after night. A few of the highlights include...

*Losing Money at the Vegas tables with Booking Agent of the Year Matt Pike and Jim Chimaira!
*The dudes in Devil Wears Prada providing the extra beer for all of us! (Don't start drinking its bad for you and less for us!)
*Rock moves 101 with Jordan ETID...just watch the dude he's CRAZY!? He walks in circles!
*Andy from Every Time I Die...just ANDY!
*BEERS BEERS BEERS with Goatwhore!
*Beefcake is elected the unofficial mayor of SOUNDS!
*Stage Tech Griz unvails DH back drop .... FIGHT THE POWER!
*Heavy Heavy Low Low: providing everyone on tour who DIDN'T have acacia strain shorts with shorts... and they were sick shorts!
*And of course LIVING WITH AMON AMARTH! We love you guys!

After ripping apart venues with the aforementioned, and a highly successful headlining home town show at the 9:30 Club to top off the road trip, the Darkest Hour machine steams ahead with Unearth starting September 27th, along with fellow metalheads August Burns Red and Suicide Silence.

If you reference the genealogy chart on the now legendary cult film, Metal: A Headbangers Journey, you will see one the finest bands in the New Wave Of American Heavy Metal, Darkest Hour.

Their dedication to putting on some of the most intense live performances ever is matched by their mind-boggling skill that must be witnessed on stage. It's like the human equivalent of a disastrous car crash. Vocalist John Henry whips around every part of the stage as a possessed demon not looking for help.
His high energy performance has a raw frenzy akin to Henry Rollins era Black Flag. The classic metal stance of shredders Mike Schleibaum and Kris Norris are absolutely unmatched. Words cannot describe the frantic power that these two deliver. Drummer Ryan Parrish absolutely astonishes fellow musicians as he somehow makes his little 4 drum, 2 cymbal kit shatter every damn house the band steps foot in, while his rhythm-attic genius partner Paul Brunnette scowls the crowd like a predator looking to physically paralyze you.

Put these ingredients together, along with their careless abandon for the safety of others near the stage, and you have one of the finest bands in the New Wave Of American Metal.

But before this current face shredding circus hit the stage last month, the band holed up in Vancouver, Canada with the same man that helped them create their last critically acclaimed album "Undoing Ruin", Strapping Young Lad frontman Devin Townsend. "It's the crispiest, most savory Darkest Hour to date," the producer boasts. "We turned up the monitors and my head exploded."

Their latest opus, Deliver Us, kicked the Top 200 Billboard Chart door in at the 110th position. The Sounds Of The Underground Tour was the perfect catalyst to tease fans with the new material, now you can see the full power of Darkest Hour live. More dates to be announced.
