Man, the biggest-selling Rock en Espanol band of all time, is pondering an all-English album. "I think it'd be awesome to do some stuff in English, to share our thoughts and ideals with people," said drummer Alex Gonzalez, phoning last night from The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, where Man taped a performance of its latest single, "Justicia, Tierra y Libertad." "The [Red Hot] Chili Peppers have a Spanish song," Gonzalez continued, referencing the recent "Cabron." "It's just another way of sharing your music." But Gonzalez, who co-writes and produces Man's songs with singer Fher Olvera, said an English album would only supplement a Spanish one. "The Spanish album would come out and the English album would come out," he said. "We won't stop singing in Spanish just because we want to do the crossover. It's about sharing our music, our ideas, and our thoughts. But, at the same time, we still keep our essence." Fans might have a long wait ahead. Man's latest album, Revolucion de Amor followed its last, Suenos Liquidos by five years. "But we're not gonna take that long between this album and the next," Gonzalez said, estimating a release date of late 2004.
