Nashville, TN (Top40 Charts/ Cherry Heart Music & Entertainment) - MCA recording artist and ACM Top New Female Vocalist nominee Ashton Shepherd has signed with Cherry Heart Entertainment, LLC for artist management representation. ""We feel it is natural to have Ashton working with Cherry Heart and key people who helped introduce her to industry decision makers who understand the creative vitality that Ashton Shepherd brings to country music. We couldn't be more passionate about Ashton's future," says Gratton Stephens, President / CEO. The Alabama native, often referred to as the "honky tonk Cinderella," started her career with immense talent, fueled with a lot of luck. After entering and winning a talent contest where the prize was opening for Lorrie Morgan in June of 2006, a series of events led Shepherd to move to Nashville by August of 2006. Less than a year after arriving in Music City, Shephard signed her very first record deal with MCA Records and completed her debut album, produced by Buddy Cannon. SOUNDS SO GOOD featured the first single "Takin' Off This Pain," hit the Top 20 on the country radio charts. Shepherd's current single is the title track of the CD, "Sounds So Good." "All of us at Cherry Heart are so excited to work with one of the most authentic artists in today's country music. Ashton's uniqueness is a rarity and is appreciated by everyone exposed to her and her music. She is a great example of the type of talent our industry was built on, "comments Shelby Kennedy, Senior Vice President / COO. Cherry Heart Music & Entertainment is a multi-faceted entertainment company comprised of professionals with over 85 years of combined experience. The company has four individual, yet symbiotic, divisions: Music Publishing, Copyright Administration, Artist Management and Sports & Entertainment Marketing.
