Los Angeles, CA (TOP40 Charts/ Lake of the Torches Resort Casino) -- Michael J. Broderick, Director of Marketing of Lake of the Torches Resort Casino in Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin, upon hearing the news of the hospitalization of rock star and TV celebrity Bret Michaels with a brain hemorrhage, issued the following statement:

"I am shocked and deeply saddened to hear the news of Bret's recent hospitalization with a brain hemorrhage. I have hosted Bret a number of times here at Lake of the Torches, and apart from being a truly talented artist, he is a consummate professional. More importantly though, I consider Bret to be a good friend and member of our casino family. On behalf of the staff and management, I truly wish him a speedy recovery and our prayers go out to him and his daughters during this difficult time."

According to the AP, Bret Michaels is in critical condition suffering from a brain hemorrhage, his publicist said Friday. Joann Mignano confirmed a report on People magazine's website Friday that said the former Poison frontman was rushed to intensive care late Thursday after a severe headache. The report said doctors discovered bleeding at the base of his brain stem.

Situated on the shores of Pokegama Lake and nestled in Wisconsin's Northwoods, the Lake of the Torches Resort Casino has a feel of a classic Northern retreat and reflects its Ojibwe culture and heritage. The casino has over 800 slot machines (including a non-smoking area), 12 blackjack tables and three poker tables, a high-stakes Bingo Hall seating up to 500 persons, the 24-hour Game Time Grill and the Eagle's Nest Restaurant. The hotel has 101 well-appointed rooms, the Dancing Waters Lounge and the Woodland Oasis pool area. The 8,500 square-foot Convention Center with the Hall of Nations offers an outstanding venue for entertainment, receptions, trade shows, meetings, presentations and seminars.

More information on upcoming events at Lake of the Torches is available at www.lakeofthetorches.com.
