JOHNJONVILLE, NY (PacificSol) - PacificSol recording artists, The Maynard Brothers Band, 2nd CD release Nasty Packages and the stellar title cut has been nominated in the 2004 Just Plain Folks (JPF) Music Awards for Best Album and Best Song in the Blues category.

The 2004 Just Plain Folks Music Awards received and reviewed over 10,000 albums and 140,000 songs from 85 countries. The winners will be announced at the Just Plain Folks Music Awards Show scheduled for November 7th, 2004 at the Avalon in Hollywood, CA.

The Maynard Brothers Band, a blues-afflicted-roadhouse-rock group, released their second CD of all original material titled 'Nasty Packages' in 2003 and it appeared in the June 2003 issue of internationally distributed Blues Revue as one of the 10 most listened-to recordings in Blues Revue offices. They have shared the stage with regional and national acts such as Roomful of Blues, Tom Principato, Deanna Bogart, Ernie Williams, Dona Oxford and more recently, Jimmy Thackery and The Drivers. They were honored with an encore performance at both the 2003 and 2004 Bay Music Festival in Centreville, Maryland.

In 2002, the MBB were winners of the 2002 Northeast Blues Society's Colossal Contenders contest and were NEBS's representative to the 2002 International Blues Challenge in Memphis. The MBB's original song, 'What To Do', is featured in a soon-to-be-released feature film, 'Love Thy Neighbor', and 'Down To The River', was one of the top six Blues Songs nominated from over 102,000 entries as Best Blues Song in the national Just Plain Folks Music Awards.
