(themotionsick.com) - Less than one month after the release of their debut album, "Her Brilliant Fifteen," The Motion Sick, fronted by Northeastern University Audiology Professor Michael Epstein, has already become Boston's most-watched new indie band. On January 13th, the band was named the Spin.com band of the day and subsequently, based on fan response, was chosen as the Spin.com band of the month. As a result, The Motion Sick is currently featured in a half-page spread in the April issue of Spin Magazine right between The Beastie Boys and Rilo Kiley's Jenny Lewis.

Based on their rapid popularity growth and infectious music, their selection for SPIN is no surprise. What does come as a surprise is the band's current level of achievement without the support of a label or promotions firm. In addition to their success at SPIN, Her Brilliant Fifteen has taken college radio by storm charting on CMJ Rock charts nationwide including No 1s at a number of stations.
