NEW ORLEANS (www.micrage.com/neworleans/) - The 'New Orleans Getaway' has nothing to do with the organization responsible for the annual 'Burning Man' festival and everything to do with those who attend it. Billed as "a gathering of like minds", this music lovers three day weekend, particularly for fans of electronic dance music and alternative rock, will run Thursday, April 14th through Sunday, April 17th in New Orleans' French Quarter and Warehouse/Arts Districts. The city known as a Jazz and Cajun music mecca will play host to a variety of New York artists and a targeted audience of 'burners' and other music fans from across the United States.

"New Orleans is recognized the world over for Mardi Gras, but it's a music town and worthy of visiting year round." quipped Mic Rage, the event's promoter. "With the exception of regional 'burns' that take place throughout the summer and lead up to the annual festival, there is nothing like this. It's the sounds of New York and New Orleans and the heart and soul of Burning Man, the community, the participants."

The most difficult element in the event, according to Rage, has been soliciting the support of the larger venues. He has stated that not all the artists receive the same recognition in New Orleans that they do in New York and around the country and that has forced him to add a few more "big names" to the program. Rage isn't releasing the artist roster until the contracts are signed but promises a few very special surprises.

RTG Advertising & Production, is offering affordable room rates with hotels in the French Quarter and the immediate area and has included tickets to the final night event into the package. Room reservations are available through at: https://www.micrage.com/neworleans/

"We envision this as a way to give something back to the 'burner' community and have one great party doing it. We are expecting about a thousand revelers for a very full schedule of events.
